NHS Health Promotion Campaign
This live client brief was set by Rebecca Soong-Towell, Health Promotion Specialist and Health, Wellbeing & Recovery Champion, in partnership with Vision West Nottinghamshire College. The project focused on creating engaging health promotion materials aimed at young people aged 12–16, supporting the NHS School Aged Immunisation Service.
Students were tasked with developing a suite of creative outputs to promote key public health themes for the upcoming academic year, including:
* School-aged flu immunisation (nasal spray)
* HPV vaccinations
* Teenage booster vaccinations
* Dental hygiene awareness
The deliverables included:
* A3 posters
* A5 double-sided leaflets
* Short promotional videos
* Interview-style video content
A core requirement of the brief was that all materials should be simple, pictorial, eye-catching, and youth-friendly, ensuring accessibility and engagement for a teenage audience. Students were also provided with NHS-approved messaging, factual content, and branding requirements, alongside access to free image banks and typography resources.
The project offered learners valuable real-world experience of working to a professional design brief, collaborating as a team, meeting client expectations, and producing campaign-ready content for a genuine public health initiative.
